Additionally, this update contains stability and performance improvements. Jul 29, 2019 Microsoft just released its first update to its new Microsoft Office 2016 for Mac client. This is a bit surprising being that it’s only been a few weeks since it went RTM on July 9th, 2015.

Office for Mac that comes with an Office 365 subscription is updated on a regular basis to provide new features, security updates, and non-security updates. The following information is primarily intended for IT professionals that are deploying Office for Mac to the users in their organizations.

Microsoft launched its Office 2016 for Mac Preview back in March, rolling out quite a significant update for the productivity suite just a few weeks later. The company has now released a further update, although it's not quite as comprehensive as the last one.
Indeed, the main focus of this latest update is on fixing various issues across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote on Apple PCs, although there are a couple of very minor new feature additions.
