The key difference, at least for those who prefer keyboard shortcuts, is to just remember that extra Option key in the command.

- Jan 28, 2018 When I click in the text box on the form and press command + v (keyboard shortcut for paste from clipboard) the command key is ignored and the letter 'v' is typed into the text box. Is anyone else having this issue where they can't paste a value from the clipboard into a textbox.
- Jan 12, 2020 If you're using a mouse or trackpad, move your cursor to the beginning of the text you want to copy. Then, click and hold while dragging the cursor along the content you want to copy. If you're using your keyboard, move your cursor to the beginning of the text you want to copy.
If you have Skype installed, please read: Text has incorrect format when using paste in Microsoft Office.Paste Special can make the task of pasting text go more smoothly by letting you choose which formatting you want to keep (source or destination) or by stripping all the formatting and just pasting the text. If you are having issues with Paste Special, continue on to the resolutions below:
Resolution
To see if Paste Special is enabled:
- Go to: File > Options > Advanced.
- Under Cut, copy and paste, ensure Show Paste Options button when content is pasted is checked.
Ensure that all instances of the web browsers that you use are Closed and try to use Paste Special again. Paste Special will not function if your web browser is causing the conflict. Windows Internet Explorer (8-9) do not conflict with the Excel 2010 Paste Special option. Third party Add-ins can cause a variety of issues, one of then being, conflicting with the Paste Special option. To determine if an Add-in is causing the issue:
Mac Terminal Copy Paste
Click Start > All Programs> Microsoft Office.
Press and hold the CTRL key, and click Microsoft Excel 2010. You will be asked if you want to open Excel in the Safe Mode, click Yes.
Note: If you have an icon on your desktop, hold down Ctrl and click on the icon. This works with any Microsoft Office product.
If Paste Special works in the Safe Mode as follows, enable your Add-ins one at a time until you hit that one that is causing the conflict. Leave that one disabled or uninstall it.

Sep 30, 2017 Mac update stuck on gray screen problem can occue right after you start or restart your Mac. It may be caused by a bad peripheral or peripheral cable, RAM issue, Drive issue or whatever. Before you start to fix the macOS update stuck on gray screen problem, you need make sure what's the cause. Pre-Mojave, you may be able to fix a stuck update by going to the Mac App Store, finding the software you are downloading, and pressing Option/Alt. When you do so you should see the option to. Launch System Preferences and go to Network Advanced. Next click the DNS tab and then the Add (+) button at the bottom. Now enter the following addresses: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 then click OK. Launch, any of the Office 2016 apps, then click Help Check for Updates then click Install. Microsoft update mac stuck. Mar 13, 2020 Since the Office 15.24 update for Mac, whenever I try to update the software the update gets stuck on the Install stage. When I get the Autoupdate notification, I click on Install, the download goes well then the verification stage goes well too and then the install progress appears but doesn't seem to move at all and the installation never goes past the beginning of the install stage.
