  • In Microsoft Word 2003, it is under File - Page Setup, and on the Margins tab you can set the regular margins. On the Layout tab, you can set the header and footer margins. In Microsoft Word 2007, it is on the Page Layout tab. There is a Margins dropdown menu.
  • A quick way to change the margins is to select the Layout tab in the toolbar at the top of the screen. Then in the Margins group, you will be able to view and change the Top, Bottom, Left, and Right margin values using the respective controls.
  • To set the default margins, click the Page Layout tab. Click the Margins button and select Custom Margins from the drop-down menu. The Page Setup dialog box displays. Make sure the Margins tab is active.
